Why I’m Loving Dysport

Currently in the United States there are four FDA approved botulinum toxins:

  • Botox

  • Dysport

  • Xeomin

  • Jeuveau

Many clients ask me which one is the best, and of course there is no clear answer to that question! There is no clear evidence based data to support that any one product gives a better result than another, but there are differences between the products which can make one product a better choice for you over another.

Why I’m Loving Dysport

Lately, I have been using Dysport on my clients and I am loving the results! Here are some of the reasons why:

Beautiful Results

This is a really difficult thing to measure objectively, but my clients report loving their results with Dysport! I have tried out Dysport on some of my experienced and brand loyal Botox clients, and they have all been very pleased with the outcome. I have personally tried out every neurotoxin on the market on my own face, and I can tell you that my forehead has never looked better than it does now! I am loving the balance between maintaining natural movement but eliminating wrinkles.

Quicker Onset

If you have had any sort of neurotoxin treatment before, you know that the results can take 3-14 days to appear. When you are excited to see a result and have made a significant investment in being wrinkle-free, this can feel like a lifetime. If you are excited or impatient then Dysport might be the best choice for you (I’m an Amazon Prime type of girl so the quicker the better for me)!

I noticed a significant reduction in movement on my forehead within 18 hours of having Dysport injected. This is pretty incredible and I’ve never had results this quickly with any of the other neurotoxins. Obviously, every person will be different and I can’t guarantee you will see your results that quickly but because the molecule size is smaller than the other neurotoxins on the market that typically translates into quicker results.

While you may see the results from Dysport a bit quicker, it is important to note that it still takes 14 days for the final result to be apparent. This means that some areas may activate more quickly than others and the treatment “settles” in that time.

Awesome Rewards Program

Who loves saving money?! It is easier than ever with Aspire Rewards from Galderma! Galderma is the manufacturer of Dysport and has set up an awesome way for clients of Even Esthetics™ to earn rewards points on every treatment. These points translate into rewards certificates for money off of your favorite services! Want to know the best part? You can earn points with filler services too! A Note on Dosing

Many clients find neurotoxin dosing confusing, and it is my goal to make it as easy as possible for you! The dose is reflected in “units” and these “units” are not equivalent among all brands. Because this is confusing and I am not trying to make you bust out a calculator, I convert Dysport units to a Botox unit equivalent when I discuss pricing and dosing with my clients. This give us the ability to communicate clearly without delving into a complicated discussion on dosing and neurotoxin equivalents.

In general, 1 unit of Botox equals about 3 units of Dysport. Don’t get hung up on this detail! The cost of your treatment is the same whether we use Botox or Dysport and you will be getting an equivalent amount of product with either one.

So whether you are an experienced tox lover, or just dipping your toe into the wrinkle-relaxing pond, come in to Even Esthetics™ and let’s have a chat about which toxin might be the best fit for you! Snag an appointment on our super easy online self-scheduling system.
