5 Ways to Refresh Your Skin This Spring

It may not feel like it right now, but spring is on the way! Warmer weather, spring sports, lowers blooming… spring is a time of renewal. And what better way to renew yourself than taking care of your skin? Here are 5 ways you can refresh your skin for spring.

1. Find your perfect SPF

I know you are all sick of reading about the importance of SPF, but I can’t stop, won’t stop!! If you’ve been slacking on your SPF application during the winter, make sure you have found the perfect sunscreen for you before the weather changes. The best SPF is one you’ll wear every day, so stop by for a complimentary skincare consult and try a few out! I can make recommendations based on your preferences and we will find something you love. I carry 4 different types of sunscreen at Even Esthetics™, so I’m confident we can find your new favorite if you don’t have one already.

 2. Renew your skin with a 3 Step Peel

Pre-spring is the perfect time to do a ZO 3 Step Peel. This peel is a quick and easy way to remove sun damage, improve fine lines and wrinkles, improve texture, and give your skin an overall refresh. I does cause the skin to peel, and I tell clients to plan for about 7 days from the date of the peel until their skin is back to normal. This peel also requires pre conditioning with a medical grade Vitamin A, so if you’re not on AlphaRet or a medical grade retinol already- get on it ASAP! If you’d like to read more about the ZO 3 Step Peel, check out this blog.

I love doing this peel during seasons with less sun exposure, because once the peel is complete you will reveal that perfect baby skin underneath!

3. Get started on a microneedling package

It’s no secret that I love microneedling all the time, but the months leading up to spring and summer are ideal to start a microneedling package. I will thank my dad in advance for this analogy, but you know how you aerate your lawn in the spring to mix up the nutrients and make your grass grow healthy and beautiful? Microneedling is a similar process! By creating micro channels in the skin, we can stimulate the body to produce collagen and elastin which will renew your skin texture. It can also improve acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles, and even some sun damage!

If you are concerned about discomfort during microneedling, don’t worry! We use a medical grade numbing cream to ensure you are comfortable the entire time. I’ve even had clients fall asleep during the procedure.

You can take your microneedling treatment to the next level by adding on an advanced serum or PRF. I have multiple advanced serums to choose from and we can target redness, firming, or brightness. The ultimate in all natural regeneration is PRF, or platelet rich fibrin. This is your body’s own natural growth serum and I take it straight from a small blood sample. If you’d like to read more about PRF, check out this blog

4. Refresh your skincare routine

Spring is the perfect time to revamp your skincare routine. Are your products really working for you? Do you need to switch to lighter weight moisturizer or add an antioxidant serum?

Skin needs can change and I love to periodically reevaluate my own skin routine to make sure I’m using the best products and getting the best results. If you are looking to change up your skincare routine, I’d love to help!

5. Erase those lines with Dysport

There is no better way to get a refresh than to smooth out those expression lines! Dysport doesn’t have to look unnatural and there is no need to freeze anything. We can use lighter dosing to allow for movement but without all the wrinkles.

You will be amazed at what a little sprinkle of Dysport can do to make you look refreshed and rejuvenated. You can read more about Dysport pricing and average dosing here.
